Allowing one well behaved pet, Flamingo Cottage is easy to find, easy to access, offers fabulous sea views, outside seating and a comfortable base in the heart of Runswick Bay. A stones throw from the beach!
The accommodation is over 3 floors. Please note the stairs to the top floor are restricted in this property and there is feather bedding. Please read our Features section for all details of what is provided.

In detail, the cottage is an ideal base for up to 6 people (plus a baby - not crawling) over 3 floors. One well behaved dog is welcome :-
Enter the cottage from the turning circle in the lower village up approx 8 steps.
The ground floor sitting room has a cosy log burning stove (please bring your own logs), 2 large sofas, TV with Freesat and window seating.
A few more steps lead up to the kitchen area into the open plan dining / kitchen. Here you will find a dishwasher, full size electric oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and lots of pots and pans.
There is a back door to the enclosed rear garden. Please note the rear garden is tiered so children must be supervised at all times.
Back inside, there is a staircase off the lounge and kitchen which leads up to the main double bedroom with shower ensuite, toilet and sink. This comfortable room enjoys sea views and that all important opportunity to sit in bed and look out to sea when you wake each day.
Across the hall is the house bathroom with bath, toilet and sink (no shower).
There is a bed here in the hallway (please see photos) and a space saver ladder leading to the attic bedroom which is steep and open. Here 3 single beds in the eaves share the same space with a huge window to enjoy the sea views.
To the front of the house is a private terrace fronting the sea, sip a glass of something lovely and watch the world go by. Outdoor table and chairs provided.
This cottage has one permit for the Pay & Display car park.
Please note there are a number of stairs at this property as the accommodation is spread over 3 floors and there is an open steep staircase to the top floor where the 3 single beds are in the eaves. The head height is restricted in parts. The cottage has bedding which contains feathers.

From the A174, approach Runswick Bay via Ellerby Lane and turn right into the lower village down the steep 1:4 hill.
Flamingo Cottage is in the main lower village of Runswick Bay.
Turn left at the mini roundabout at the bottom and drive into the village to the end of the road and the cottage is situated on the left hand side for easy access and unloading.
There are a few steps up to the front door of Flamingo Cottage.
One car can park in the Public Car park in the lower village using our permit. Extra cars must pay the daily rate. EV charging available in the bank top council car park.
